Welcome to the Sindh Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the leading and only civilian multidisciplinary rehabilitation Institute in the region which has a solid past and an exciting future. The field of physical medicine and rehabilitation is relatively young and growing in our country. An increasing number of people with disabilities are demanding reasonably good quality of life which is only possible when health care practitioners and society have a general understanding of the field and the integral role of
its practitioners.
SIPM&R has developed over time and now proudly offers full range of clinical/academic with experienced multi-disciplinary faculty under one roof providing academic, clinical and research experiences in a prestigious facility. Additionally, it is the first Institute in the province to be accredited by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan for residency training in this specialty. The academic services of the Institute includes residency program in physical medicine and rehabilitation and degree programs in Physical Therapy, Audiology & Speech Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Prosthetics & Orthotics.
We are excited to welcome prospective students who choose to enroll themselves in one of our offered programs in the quest to becoming a leading professional in this field of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Allied Health Services.
Our vision is to be the lead provider of rehabilitative care for people with disabilities by a team of dedicated multidisciplinary rehabilitation professionals.
SIPM&R is committed to serving in the field of Physical medicine & rehabilitation with two-folded mission: To provide culturally inclusive, multidisciplinary, individually tailored rehabilitation services to people with disabilities through the integration of advanced technology, education, research and strong patient advocacy. To train the next generation of rehabilitation experts as academician, clinicians and researchers
SIPM&R offers its rehabilitation clinical services in nine departments.
Trained and educated 700+ students in various academic programs.
An agreement was made between Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal & SIPM&R to provide merit-based scholarship opportunities for our students.

Sindh Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (formerly IPM&R) was established in 2007 for multi-disciplinary rehabilitation of disabilities.
