Admission Criteria
Eligibility Criteria:
Inter-Science and/or “A” levels with biology with at least 60% marks or have taken an equivalent examination of a recognized Institute/College along with an entry test and interview.
Number of seats: Maximum 25 (open merit)
Assessment Method:
Assessment would be continuous throughout the semester via quizzes, In assessment methods add after quizzes, assignments, presentations, mid term exam, final exam and viva
Some of the specialized techniques used in SLP clinic that students will be exposed to are:
- LSVT
- PECS
- Talk Tools
- Myofascial Release technique
The Staff is also trained in the following instrumental Procedures:
- Fiber-optic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES)
- Modified Barium Swallow Study (MBSS)
- Voice Assessment using Stroboscopy and Vizi-pitch
- Nasometer
- Tracheostomy Management
- Tracheo-esophageal Prosthesis Insertion and Management
- Alaryngeal Speech

- 1. Augmented and Alternative communication Devices for Autism. December 2018 Workshop Conducted by Mr. Wasif Haq. A proficient Behaviour Practitioner & Senior Speech Pathologist at Autism Association of Western Australia from Australia
2. Cochlear Implant and Hearing Issues. Dr. Akbar, Head of ENT department Agha Khan University Hospital
3. Parent Awareness and Reach out program at DOW Ojha campus. Conducted by SLP department 2019
4. Presented at the Cerebral Palsy conference 2019; Dysphagia and Dysarthria in CP Amber r. Hassan

Future Prospects:
Even at the bachelor’s level, the successful graduates of a well-rounded program like ours are in high demand both nationally and internationally in different settings. It is important to mention that an entry level job after bachelors in any government sector would be BPS-17.
As Speech-language Pathologists and Audiologists provide services in a wide variety of settings job opportunities are numerous and diversified. They may include, but are not exclusive to;
- Public and private schools with resource classrooms and/ or inclusion system
- Early intervention settings, preschools, and day care centers
- Health care settings (e.g., hospitals, medical rehabilitation facilities, long-term care facilities, home health agencies, clinics, neonatal intensive care units, behavioral/mental health facilities)
- Private practice settings
- Universities and university clinics
- Individuals’ homes and community residences
- Supported and competitive employment settings
- Community, provincial, and federal agencies and institutions
- Correctional institutions
- Research facilities
- Corporate and industrial settings
