The conference will focus on “Revolutionizing Neuro-rehabilitation: From Conventional Foundations to Innovative Approaches,” highlighting the latest advancements and transformative practices in the field.

The event will feature Pre-Conference Workshops at the Sindh Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Karachi on November 10, 2024, followed by the main Conference on November 11, 2024, at the Burki Auditorium, College of Physicians and Surgeons, Karachi, Pakistan.

Key highlights include state-of-the-art lectures, workshops, and scientific sessions led by top national and international experts. These sessions will focus on the latest advancements in neurorehabilitation and neuro-oncology rehabilitation. Attendees will benefit from leading researchers’ oral and poster presentations of peer-reviewed abstracts. Interactive sessions will feature case studies and mock drills for residents interested in rehabilitation. Additionally, there will be a forum for patients, the public, and healthcare professionals to interact with expert rehabilitation specialists, promoting awareness and addressing the needs of individuals with disabilities. Topics covered will include Stroke Rehabilitation Strategies, Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation, Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation, Neuroplasticity and Rehabilitation, Urodynamics, Pain Management, Spasticity Management, Electrodiagnostic Studies, Neuro-Oncology Rehabilitation, Neuropsychological Rehabilitation, Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary Care, Critical Appraisals, and other related subjects.

The Pakistan Society of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PSPMR) is the only professionally registered organization representative of rehabilitation medicine physicians in Pakistan. The Sindh Institute of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (SIPMR) stands as a premier civilian multidisciplinary rehabilitation center in Pakistan, serving individuals with diverse disabilities such as post-stroke conditions, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, autism, Down syndrome, musculoskeletal disorders, language and swallowing difficulties, audiological issues, and neuropsychological challenges.
